Miss Maker Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization whose mission is to bring science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to all kids, regardless of where they live or how much money they have. Miss Maker’s board of directors includes teachers, scientists and engineers who believe in the importance of introducing STEM to the next generation.

Sarah worked for 15 years as a software engineer. Upon retirement, she launched a second career as a PK-8 Makerspace, coding and robotics teacher at Bay Area school. Growing up as an at-risk youth, Sarah was on track to continue the poverty cycle until one person discovered her aptitude for science. Sarah created Miss Maker Inc. to pave the way for more kids to realize their full potential through STEM.

Eric earned an undergrad Chemistry degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Ph.D in Chemistry from Caltech. After 20 years of leading teams in the constantly-changing biotechnology startup space, Eric retired and turned his attention to education where he taught high school science and earned his teaching credential.

Nathan is one of the few people who can say they’ve helped bring four life-saving drugs to market. His first medicinal success was as a graduate student where he discovered two plants, that when combined, cured staph infections. When not working at his day-job as Vice President at a biotech startup, he can be found helping kids explore science. He’s also an avid golfer, skier, and cowboy.

Marie earned her Ph.D in Chemistry at University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. She then journeyed to the United States where she worked as a research scientist at Amgen. As a mother of three, Marie often volunteered at school where she led fun experiments, often with dry ice, dish soap, and other chemical combinations. It was during this time that Marie realized the importance of STEM education. Marie currently works as a Wealth Services Associate and Miss Maker is thrilled that she is overseeing our finances. When Marie is not crunching numbers, she can be found riding horses.
